The video on my main gallery page of my solo exhibit, "There, There: Healing Dolls as Solace in an Off Kilter World," January through March of 2019 shows some of my most recent dolls. The video tells the story of many of my dolls in detail and helps you to see them in three dimensions. Several of the dolls have sold. I have tried to note in the gallery which dolls are no longer available.

Ancient Weaver Crone
The Ancient Weaver Crone is one of the oldest crones in existence. Ask her how old she is, and she will not be able to tell you, only that she has been alive long before the ancient trees, the oldest rocks and the deepest seas.
She, along with her sister weavers and spinners is responsible for holding the earth together, keeping its atmosphere intact and strong. She reaches her arms up to the heavens and touches the invisible threads that hold the world together. Some of these threads are so thin and yet so strong that they are not visible to the naked eye. At night they are easier to see, a dense and living web of threads, of many colors and hues. If you listen closely, you can also hear a musical sound from these threads. One of her other sisters, high up in the atmosphere, plays the web as if it were a harp, strumming the various threads and causing a multitude of harmonies to emerge.
This Ancient Weaver Crone invites you to join in the dance. Listen closely on a dark night. Look closely too. If you sit quietly enough and long enough, you will be able to see these threads of connection. And if you tune in even more deeply, you will be able to see your own threads and how they connect you to the universe, in a never-ending harmony with all living beings, including the earth herself.

Crone of the Full Moon and the New Moon
The Crone of the Full Moon and the New Moon, holds the whole cycle of the moon in her being. She can help you to reconnect to these cycles in the deepest part of your soul. An ancient story tells of a time when this Moon Crone was lost to humanity for a time. She walks among us, shining her brilliant, soft and bluish light, guiding travelers and wanders on dark nights. At night also, the shadow beings come out and they do not like the light that she sends out. One night, they grab her and throw her into a hole under the ground. They cover her with leaves and then place a huge rock on top of her, so that no matter how hard she tries, she is unable to come out.
Until one day, a wanderer, lost and fearful of the shadow beings comes across the Moon Crone in her pit. He is able to see her by the very edges of the light that shine weakly from around the edges of the rock covering her body. As he walks close to this faint light that he sees, he hears her voice, asking him to help her come out. He knows he is not strong enough to shift the rock on his own, so he seeks other wanderers to come help him and together, they are able to move the stone and free the Moon Crone.
She is very grateful to the wanderer and his companions but forever after this experience, she chooses never to walk on the earth again. Instead, she makes her way up into the sky, shining her beams down onto the earth. And to honor her time underground, she removes herself from the sky every month for three days, making the nights dark as pitch for the length of that time. But she always returns, slowly growing in the sky from a sliver into her full moon self.
The Crone of the Full and New Moon carries a bag over her shoulder, so that she can carry tiny moon-like disks with which she can repair tears in the night sky. She invites you to help her in this endeavor. You may fill her pouch with moon-colored stones to be used for this purpose or for meditation. THIS DOLL IS SOLD

Deep Listener/Enchanter, Shaman Crone
The Deep Listener/Enchanter Shaman Crone reminds you to tune in to your inner guide at all times. An ancient being, she is able to assist you to amplify your ability to tune in, much more that you would be able to do on your own. Her time is not your time, she moves and lives at a much slower rhythm than most of us do. What to you might feel like a year, is to her only a moment. And her years are our lifetimes.
She isn’t always easy to communicate with but once you slow down and quiet yourself enough to connect with her, you will have achieved something that not many beings are able to do, at least not many beings you might encounter in your day-to-day life. Her energy is life-giving and life-affirming. Turn to her when you are feeling rushed and exhausted from the daily grind.
She carries a pouch with her, for you to place tiny wishing stones into. You may also want to write wishes on a tiny piece of paper and put those in her pouch. Then wait for these wishes to manifest.

Red Crone
The Red Crone may be part aboriginal-I don't know. She stares into the sky, joyful and hopeful. She brings joy and an understanding of what lies beyond the stars to your life. She invites you to the dance!
Ancient Bird Spirit Crone
The bird fossil on her tunic and the bird feathers in her hand show that this Ancient Bird Spirit crone is allied with the spirits of the East, of wind and of beginnings. She has the ability to fly above and to see the larger perspective, to see how all the pieces of a complicated puzzle fit together. Her wisdom is all all-encompassing and far-seeing.
You can turn to her for guidance on long term questions. Leave your questions at her feet and then sit and meditate, allowing her to guide you in an auspicious direction. She is ageless, connected in her stone-like feet at hands with our ancient ancestors of paleolithic times.

Blue Warrior Woman (transforming panic and anxiety)
The Blue Warrior Woman is a powerful antidote to anxiety and panic. Her arms are outstretched in joy and welcome to the world but at the same time she is protected and protective of those who behold her. Her dark cloak shelters her and keeps her warm. Her amulets, faces over the breasts and hand over the lower body also protect and bless these centers of feminine energy.
The blues of her clothing and body relate to the emotions that she contains, panic and anxiety and some grief but at the same time these colors show how these emotions are also a doorway into greater depth. By this I mean, she is connected to the starry skies, to the depths of the ocean, putting into context the human emotions that can get us stuck if we don’t see them as part of the cycles of life.
The pearl at her throat radiates life and wholeness. It represents the way in which difficult emotions, when we abide with them, can contain within them pearls of wisdom. Turn to her when you are beset with fears and doubts. She knows what to do. Connected to Mother Earth, she shows you how your emotions are a part of the web of life and how they connect you to the world beyond you.

Tiny Crone, Releasing Grief from My DNA
This doll started with seeds of grief. These hang now down her back, ready to fall off when the grief is completely ready to go. For now, she embraces life, her cloak a rainbow of colors celebrating the full spectrum of life. A radiant, faceted bead embellishes her core, radiating the energy of love from her heart and the life force from her core.
Her arms are stretched wide, ready to embrace, ready to be open to whatever the world brings next. She can remain on her stand but she is also meant to be held-perhaps carried in a pocket for comfort in facing a difficult situation.
The white dots on her face, hands and feet show how she is connected to spirit, of this world but also of the spirit world, a sort of guide and translator between the two worlds.

This doll is a bit scary, and witch-like. Yet, she has the power to watch over you with a mothering energy that is wise and all-seeing.

This tiny doll hangs on the wall. She holds healing powers and is full of wisdom.

This tiny doll represents the spirit of motherhood. She holds her baby in a pocket and has another pocket on her skirt that can be used to hold special meaningful tiny objects.

Red Russian Shaman
The Red Russian Shaman doll is a wise old crone. Light in weight and light on her feet, she carries at the same time the weight of ancient wisdom. The reds of her cloak symbolize passion and fire. She is aflame with life and purpose.
At the same time, the pale greys and whites of her skin and fur headdress suggest bone, perhaps even death. She sees beyond death and has lived many lifetimes. This part of her is connected to what is ageless, and what doesn’t change. All those parts of life that remain when all else has gone. Stones and bones that remain for eons, after the body has gone.
She can withstand and can help you to withstand the coldest colds and the darkest nights. She is steadfast and strong.
